After escaping from St. Aggie's Soren, Gylfie, and some friends (that they met at the end of book one) go on a quest to find a tree in owl legend. With some help from owls that they meet along the way and some puffins, can they make it to the tree, or will they stay forever at the mirror lakes? I give this book nine and a half out of ten.

Why a 9 1/2? Was there a not so smart waitress who should not have been there :)
ReplyDeleteNo it was actually a owl who has these annoying little songs and thinks that he can do anything this time. Which in my opinion is worse.
ReplyDeleteHannah, I really like the way you worked suspense into the reviews for Books two and three by introducing story details with questions. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to hear how the author intended the different words to be pronounced.
ReplyDeleteWhich words do you want to know how to pronounce. I know how to pronounce them because I listened to a book on tape for one of the books. I do not recommend listening to a book on tape of one of them though because they make some of the characters all squeaky.
ReplyDeleteThe first word I want to know how to pronounce is "Ga'Hoole." I was thinking it might sound kind of like an owl who-whoing.
ReplyDeleteThe Ga part in Ga'Hoole is pronounced Gah. The Hoole part is pronounced like an owl hooing with the le part.
ReplyDeleteThey are going to come out with a movie of guardians of ga'hoole. I found book number four today, it is called the siege.
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to the trailer for the movie,

hope you like it.
I will be having a discussion about the movie content compared with the books when the movie comes out. If anyone wants to go see the movie it comes out on the twenty fourth.
